By 2050, seven out of 10 people are expected to live in cities. As cities continue to grow, so does their exposure to climate and disaster risk. Rapid urbanisation is inevitable and will bring additional infrastructure challenges, particularly on water.
For the third and final instalment in a live discussion series that looks at the critical role of water in cities, an expert panel will be exploring the art of the possible.
What role will digitalisation and AI play in ensuring cities can be built to be more liveable yet resilient against the threats from climate change? Joined by guest speaker André Gustavo Salcedo Teixeira Mendes, the former CEO of major Brazilian utility, Sabesp, the panel will address the following questions:

-
If we can all gaze into the future and imagine the perfectly designed, utopia city – what role will digital tools and AI play?
-
How important is it for water utilities to ensure that digital strategies align with organisational strategies?
-
What lessons can be learned from Sabesp’s digital journey, including driving internal culture change?
The lively discussion will be a thought-provoking, engaging, fun and lively conversation. Not to be missed.
